Pumpkin Patch

Emma Lou's first visit to the pumpkin patch.

Emma Lou & her friend, Cade.

Walking with Daddy; way too much to see.

Last year this time we were getting ready for a trip to Palm Springs. What a wonderful vacation: tennis in the morning, swimming in the afternoon, and awesome dinners with the Booth family al fresco. This year we are staying home and my goal is to make some Harvest traditions for us. Some day Emma Lou will want to par-take in the traditional Halloween things, but our family will need to find alternatives to trick or treating. We thought the pumpkin patch might a good tradition to start. Always fun to hear what other Christian families do as alternatives.

The Cuteness Never Ends

Craft Time

It is a slow season for subbing and weddings right now which means lots of crafts. Here are a few:

My aunt gave me this cute little panda bear when I was about five. I gave a him a new pink look, now he reminds me of a circus animal cookie.

Emma needed a splat mat for her chair she has makes a mess. I made this from laminated cotton, it is really cool stuff and I love the avocado damask print.

We had a birthday party for my parents last month. We made over sixty cupcakes. I made this cute stand to hold a few.

What's a Girl to do with Spare Time & Spare Paint?

Garage Redo Or Course! We had about 4 gallons of left over paint after painting our house 2 years ago. Well I put that paint to good use; no more greasy finger prints on our white door. The white board was left over from my classroom and the cute little signs were from past Christmas gifts. The workbench was a kit from Home Depot for $80, I talked (Nick) the manager at the Redmond Home Depot into giving me the floor model for $60 ( I wasn't sure if I could even put the kit together). I was so excited to show this to Hubby. He now has a place to put all his tools. It will be a great place to work on messy crafts and flower arrangements.
Does this mean that you can make me a picnic table now, honey?

After: Daisy even has a cute little place under the workbench.
